Pedro has a background in engineering with extensive experience in academia and industry (e.g. consultant in data driven projects for organisations as Heathrow Airport or HSBC). Pedro has deep knowledge of Data technologies (e.g. Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain) and Digital Transformation. In 2018, Pedro was appointed as the first Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence at Imperial College London and in 2022 became an Honorary Senior Research Fellow. Since 2019 Pedro holds multiple position in ISO TC 322 (Sustainable Finance), such as UK representative to CAG and Liaison to TCs 307 (Blockchain). In September 2021, Pedro became the Convenor for the new ISO TC322 TAG 1, making him the lead expert on Sustainable FinTech standards development at ISO. Since July 2021, Pedro became the Co-founder and CTO of Clearly, a start-up focused on combining “Data Technologies” and “Finance” to support the decarbonisation of the “Transport” sector.
