Katherine is a Partner at Systemiq ' a system-change advisory and investment firm ' where she leads the Sustainable Finance platform and is head of the London office. Katherine drives Systemiq's country transition finance work including on JET-Ps and supports financial institutions to set and implement net zero strategies including structuring climate funds and investment opportunities, integrating climate risk, accessing catalytic capital and assessing impact. Katherine is the Chair of the Blended Finance Taskforce, a global coalition set up to unlock public, private and philanthropic capital for people and planet, helping design, fundraise and develop pipeline for new financial products & vehicles to accelerate net zero, nature positive and more inclusive investment. She has helped design and launch blended finance vehicles and platforms including SDG Namibia One for green hydrogen and the Global Fund for Coral Reefs ' the world's first largescale adaptation fund targeting $1bn. She leads Systemiq's work on JET-Ps, with a focus on South Africa and Indonesia. Katherine was instrumental in structuring Indonesia's $3bn sustainable infrastructure platform with the Ministry of Finance (launched at the 2018 World Bank Annual Meetings in Bali; a third of the fund has since been deployed). She helped design the Actis Transition Tool and has led the work for reports like Making Climate Capital Work: Unlocking $8.5bn for South Africa's Just Energy Transition and Better Finance, Better World. Katherine is on the Advisory Board for Credit Suisse's 'Responsible Consumer Fund' investing in SDG12 and is a Fellow to Studio 8 FOLD which specialises in sustainable architecture and design. Before joining SYSTEMIQ, Katherine was a lawyer in Australia and the UK specialising in M&A and project finance for energy and major infrastructure, graduating with First Class Honours. Katherine has just been awarded Environmental Finance's 'Net Zero Champion of the Year' for 2022.
