Kaija joined Blue Marine in 2021 after completing her MSc in Environmental Economics and Policy at Imperial College London. Passionate about the marine environment, she wrote her thesis on the impacts of socioeconomics on coastal ecosystem valuation. Since joining Blue Marine she has worked on implementing sustainable finance mechanisms in projects, conducted research into the socioeconomics aspects of fisheries in the UK, and presented at conferences and events around the world.
