Gurpal is a Chartered Manager, Chartered Engineer, and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology. He’s got more than three decades of engineering and management experience in the power sector. Since 2016, at GB energy regulator Ofgem, he is responsible for technical advisory, and decision making on various regulatory regimes and represents the Gas & Electricity Markets Authority at GB Grid Code Review Panel. He is the Profession Lead for engineering at Ofgem and also heads Ofgem’s professional engineers’ development scheme.
