Derek is Special Advisor to Bluebell Index, a climate tech that values, certifies and
monetizes environmental assets. Derek works with triple bottom line enterprises, impact investors and corporates to integrate NbS, blended finance and regenerative technologies to support net zero goals.

He co-founded Awí Superfoods, a “food-for-good-tech” promoting regenerative nutrition through agroforestry and superfoods, one of the WEF's Amazon Bioeconomy Challenge winners, and recently worked as as a Sustainable Land Use Consultant at UNEP FI.

Derek has two decades of experience in impact and angel investing, M&A, capital raising and turnarounds. He graduated from Duke University and stuied Sustainable Finance at CISL. Passionate about purpose and meditation, he launched Rick Jarow's book, Creating the Work You Love, in Brazil and studied extensively with coach Anthony Robbins.
