Carolyn Pitt
My background is as a microbiologist, but since joining Dstl in 2009 my main career focus has been on providing technical delivery within Dstl through varying roles. Currently I hold the Technical Authority role where I support the Dstl Support and Sustainability Programme in addressing self-sufficiency and climate change challenges on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. Drawing on my background in technically leading research in uncertain and novel areas, I am working with our military partners to leverage the required S&T knowledge and skills for shaping a resilient, self-sufficient military force in a deployed space, whilst working to build the sustainability capability within Dstl to mature our understanding, practice and culture.
