Ahmed AlJameel
Ahmed is currently a researcher at the Centre for Environmental Policy at Imperial College London. He is also a Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (MISK) fellow and a Nominated Expert in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Roster of Experts. Before this, Ahmed was an International Policy Specialist at the Ministry of Energy in Saudi Arabia, where he focussed on climate change issues and participated as a negotiator at COP 26 in Glasgow and COP 27 in Sharm AlShaikh and COP28 in Dubai. Ahmed also has experience in international policy and finance, having been an advisor to the board of the Green Climate Fund. He also spent some time in Vienna working with OPEC as a research fellow on studying impacts of carbon pricing on the global energy demand and energy price.
Ahmed has a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, and a master’s degree in Green Chemistry and Sustainable Industrial Technology from the University of York.
