Ahila Karan is the Senior Lead on Green Initiatives at the LR Maritime Decarbonisation Hub, responsible for leading initiatives designed to enable and accelerate decarbonisation and uptake of alternative fuels in shipping, as well as co-authoring papers in the field including a joint study entitled “Port energy supply infrastructure for green shipping corridors”. Ahila launched the Silk Alliance Green Corridor Cluster initiative and represents Lloyd’s Register in the Sustainable Shipping Initiative and sits on the Advisory Group for the UNGC Ocean Investment Protocol. Previous experience includes working as a research analyst for a physical commodities and energy trading company and has 8 years of experience covering transportation fuels.
