Innovation Zero to showcase UK clean technology innovation and leadership.
London, 17th October 2022 – International trade and UK leadership in clean technology is at the forefront of discussion at the inaugural Innovation Zero Congress taking place on the 24th and 25th of May 2023 at Olympia London in Kensington.
The event features a keynote talk from new Secretary of State for International Trade, The Rt Hon. Kemi Badenoch MP, along with industry innovators, leaders and funders including Heathrow Airport CEO John Holland-Kaye, Rolls Royce SMR CEO Tom Samson, Cranfield Aerospace CEO Paul Hutton and UK Infrastructure bank CEO John Flint.
Innovation Zero is chaired by the Rt Hon. Dr Liam Fox MP, the former Secretary of State for International Trade and delivers a two-day conference agenda featuring 150 speakers. Key event themes include updates from nations and regions, stories and case studies from current and future unicorns, and perspectives from private equity, venture capital and long-term investors.
Innovation Zero features an exhibition of over 200 innovators, corporates and international pavilions, and aims to accelerate partnerships, dealmaking and collaborations between those developing and producing low carbon innovations and those who intend to deploy or fund them. The event will act as a catalyst for investment in innovation and drive private and public sector cooperation in tackling the environmental crisis.
Climate and clean technology innovation is at the heart of the event. Its unique positioning is in driving cross-sector collaboration to scale solutions in the energy, transport, built environment, food and agriculture, industrials, and finance industries.
The event organisers are forecasting an attendance of 10,000, including major organisations needing to invest in, acquire or learn about new technology to reduce their emissions at scale.
Director James Ashwood comments: “We are honoured that the UK’s trade policy maker has chosen to speak at Innovation Zero. UK clean technology innovators will come together in London to demonstrate leadership to an audience of domestic and international buyers and investors. The UK has the opportunity to provide global solutions and leadership across multiple rapidly transforming sectors.”
Dr Liam Fox added: “Global problems require global solutions and British innovation has a central role to play in not just reducing the UK’s carbon footprint, but that of the world through exporting our cutting-edge technology. We are delighted the Rt Hon. Kemi Badenoch MP will deliver a keynote address outlining this essential role and helping set the tone for the Innovation Zero Congress, which is designed to scale up the commercialisation of decarbonisation innovation.”
