London, 4th March 2025: As Innovation Zero World Congress approaches, the UK’s largest Net Zero Congress has expanded its forum line-up, introducing three new areas critical to achieving global climate and net zero targets.

At its 2025 edition, the Congress will debut new forums on Infrastructure, Nature, Land and Sea and Transport and Supply Chain, featuring industry-leading speakers from across policy, finance, academia and business.

These additions provide a more holistic platform to elevate exhibitor participation, panel discussions, and keynote speeches across three critical areas, vital to the UK’s climate and net zero goals. By expanding the scope of discussions, the Congress will accelerate progress and drive forward an ambitious agenda to achieve the UK’s climate targets with greater urgency and impact.

Nature, Land and Sea

The Nature, Land and Sea Forum at Innovation Zero World Congress 2025 is a groundbreaking addition, focusing on the pressing challenges and transformative opportunities in managing nature-related risks. It will highlight the transformative partnerships and solutions that are restoring and regenerating food systems and vital ecosystems.

Speakers, including Mary Creagh CBE MP (Minister for Nature, DEFRA), Claudine Blamey (Chief Sustainability Officer, Aviva), Sonali Siriwardena (Partner – Global Heda of ESG, Simmons + Simmons) and Andy Griffiths (Global Head of Transformational Partnerships, Diageo), will highlight the urgent need to address challenges around the nature, food systems and our oceans.

Infrastructure

The Infrastructure Forum will serve as a key platform for discussions on building a future-ready, net zero-aligned infrastructure network. Industry leaders including Jon Phillips (CEO, GIIA), Shaunna Berendsen (Chief Innovation Officer, Anglian Water), Kerry Scott (Global Head for Environment and Society, Mott MacDonald) and Ruth Wood (CEO, Mersey Maritime) will share expert insights on the strategies, innovations and collaborations needed to drive this transformation.

Transport and Supply Chain Forum

The Transport Forum has now been expanded, to include the addition of a Supply Chain forum. This will present a more holistic approach to this key aspect of the economy, by bringing together industry leaders to tackle the future of mobility, logistics, and sustainability. Key discussions will explore electrification in the automotive sector, strategies for redesigning urban transport, and decarbonising supply chains in fast-moving consumer goods. With insights from top executives at Ford, Transport for London, and Pernod Ricard, the forum will highlight cutting-edge technologies and collaborative solutions to accelerate progress toward net zero.

On the inclusion of the Transport and Supply Chain Forum James Court, Public Policy Director, Octopus Electric Vehicles stated,

“An event like Innovation Zero is really key. We want to listen to others in the industry who may be facing different challenges to us and may have different perspectives to us. Ultimately, it’s about how can we try and get that message to Government and how can we try and get real change to get people into EV cars.”

In addition to existing forums such as Energy, Finance, Carbon Markets, Industrial and Aviation, the Congress’ expanded offering seeks to break down barriers and unlock opportunities to drive innovation, investment and growth on the journey towards global emissions reduction.

Innovation Zero’s new podcast – Zero In Conversation – brings you real-world stories, challenges, and solutions from policymakers and business leaders driving the journey to a low-carbon future. The series explores how businesses are innovating to achieve carbon reduction goals — from pioneering technologies and sustainable processes to transforming supply chains and finance models.
