Head of Sustainability & ESG Lead for Howdens Joinery Ltd. Claire has 25 years experience in global supply chain procurement, across multiple product sectors more latterly Leading the Joinery and Flooring Categories for Howdens. Having been with the business for 13 years, Claires passion for embedding sustainability right from the start of any process and ensuring the whole supply chain understands its impact and actions in all activities, led her to move in 2022 into the role of leading sustainability for Howdens.

Claire has just led the project with internal and external stakeholders to get Howdens SBTi Approved with a comprehensive Net Zero transition plan with targets for 2030 and 2050. This is a major milestone for Howdens on their Road to Zero - Zero Waste, Zero Emissions.

Claire spoke at Innovation Zero in 2023 on the importance of global collaboration and why sharing knowledge, activities & achievements in reducing emissions from supplier to consumer is critical to changing behaviour; and also represented Howdens in the House of Commons with AMDEA. She is a Board Trustee for Howdens Worthwhile Charitable Foundation and most recently appointed a Board Director for Timber Development UK
