With the IEA forecasting a 50% increase in energy demand by 2050, green hydrogen offers a promising pathway for decarbonising some of the most challenging sectors of the global economy. Although the global market for green hydrogen and its derivatives is estimated to comprise 12% of total energy usage by 2050, the industry faces significant hurdles in production, distribution, transportation and storage and end-user adoption.
