Freight Expectations: Zero Emissions in the HGV Sector
96% of domestic freight is transported by road vehicles, and contribute to 20% of all domestic transport CO2 emissions in the UK. The decarbonisation of trucks and HGVs therefore play a critical role in delivering improved air quality, creating greener jobs and reducing reliance on fossil fuel imports. But with the large weight of HGVs and their cargo, and the long-distance journeys required, unique innovations are required to meet the challenge. In this session, speakers will discuss the challenges and opportunities surrounding refuelling and recharging infrastructure in order to deliver a future zero-emission industry.
