CITY OF LONDON CORPORATION

30 Apr 2024
Working Groups Theatre

The City of London Corporation has convened the Skills for a Sustainable Skyline Taskforce, which aims to address green skills gaps for Central London’s commercial built environment.

The Taskforce now has over 300 organisations who have joined as members from across the commercial built environment’s private sector and other stakeholders.

The Skills for a Sustainable Skyline Taskforce’s main output to drive change will be its ‘Green Skills Playbook’ which will showcase best practice in green skills for Central London’s commercial built environment.

Chris Oldham, the Skyline Taskforce’s Programme Lead, will be chairing an interactive workshop session to hear your views on what key messages and existing skills offers should be included in the draft Playbook. This is your chance to ensure that the Playbook is fully representative of your lived experience and will drive tangible change across London’s sustainable built environment.

Due to be published in December 2024, the Green Skills Playbook will be a live and interactive resource to define and signpost to what best practice for green skills across Central London's commercial built environment looks like, including attraction, upskilling and retention of the workforce. It will have bespoke chapters to engage with business leaders, the supply chain, and a careers guide to persuade diverse new entrants to pursue a career in the sector.
