DECARBONISING DATA CENTRES: EFFICIENCY AND RESILIENCE

30 Apr 2024
Advanced Tech Forum
Innovation , Infrastructure

Data centres are essential infrastructure for the data and digitalisation progress that we are witnessing today. However, they also consume substantial amounts of energy and generate emissions. According to the IEA, data centres in the US, which host 33% of the world’s data, are projected to use 6% of the total electricity demand by 2026. To align data centres with decarbonisation goals and enhance their sustainability, we need to power them with renewable energy sources and optimise their efficiency and waste management.

Discover the zero-carbon strategies and new technological solutions being deployed to tackle this challenge. From innovative construction and upgrading methods to sustainable heat transfer, learn how leading data centre operators are maintaining the efficiency and resiliency of their facilities.
