Chaco Vivo, the largest REDD+ project in Paraguay, is a significant initiative in sustainable development and conservation. Covering 187,916 hectares of native forest in the Paraguayan Chaco, it aims to conserve these ecosystems, under threat from deforestation and climate change. The project develops sustainable business models, providing economic incentives for forest conservation, sustainable forest management, and enhancement of forest carbon stocks. It integrates conservation efforts with sustainable economic development.
