RE24 Facilitates another Green Energy Partnership for Keppel DC REIT
Metlen is supplying Keppel up to 13.6 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of renewable energy annually across the two PPAs. The energy comes from the newly built solar farms located in Goresbridge and Gorey, Ireland.
The agreement caters 11% of the data centres’ total demand and saves up to 6.25 tonnes of CO2 per year. This new renewable energy additions further supports Keppel’s contribution to Ireland’s Climate Action Plan and the Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact.
Keppel targets to powering their Irish facilities with 100% Irish renewable energy by 2030 and with these two PPAs, 92% of data centres’ total demand will be provided with renewables.
These agreements, together with Keppel’s recently signed 67GWh wind PPA with Greencoat Renewables evident RE24’s expertise in PPA aggregation and consultancy and reflect their efforts in providing a comprehensive solution tailored to Keppel’s sustainability needs. RE24 was able to support the PPAs execution with contracting, financial feasibility analysis, due diligence and PPA management.
