Celebrating local climate action at the UK100 Annual Parliamentary Reception

Last month, UK100 hosted our most successful Annual Parliamentary Reception ever, bringing together over 150 local leaders, MPs, industry experts and local climate champions.

The room was buzzing. It was the perfect setting to launch our 2024 Annual Review "Powering Local Climate Action" — reflecting on a transformative year that demonstrated just how powerful local climate leadership can be.

Just some of the key achievements in Powering Local Climate Action:

✔️ Network growth to 117 members, representing 60% of the UK population
✔️ Launch of our groundbreaking Net Zero 2.0 report with insights from 50+ local authorities
✔️ Partnership with UK Power Networks DSO on the Energy Transition Toolkit
✔️ Landmark Clean Energy Superpower Summit
✔️ Award-winning climate leadership from members like Calderdale Council and Somerset Council

🌟 As we look to 2025 — a milestone year marking both 5 years to many councils' 2030 targets and 25 years to the UK's 2050 target — the role of local leadership in delivering climate solutions has never been more crucial.
